                 Rides of the SEMINOLE Cyclists
Ride Levels and Descriptions

A - 20+ mph: Experienced Riders Only. Be able to read a map and change a flat. Very fast to racing pace.

B - 17-21 mph: Experienced Riders Only. Be able to read a map, change a flat, and ride 20 miles non-stop.

C - 15-18 mph: Be able to read a map and change a flat and ride 20 miles non-stop. Ride leader will make sure no rider is dropped.

D - 12-15 mph: Beginner Ride. Fitness level must be good for 20 miles non-stop. Ride leader will make sure no rider is dropped.

S - 10-15 mph: Leisurely, social ride. Distance varies. Ride leader will make sure no rider is dropped.

T - Tourist: Longer Rides at a slower pace. Be able to read a map, change a flat. Don't be upset if you get dropped

Weekly Scheduled Rides and Descriptions

Saturday
Signature Einsteins Ride 7:30am
A,B,C Levels, A,B-34 & 42miles, C-upto 30miles

The SEMINOLE Cyclists Signature Einsteins Ride starts from the Einstein Bagel Shop. We leave at 7:30am sharp and do various pace rides doing around (C)20-30mi, (A,B)34mi or (A,B)42mi. The first part of the ride will travel at 18-20mph as a group towards Ronald Reagan Boulevard and through the less traveled country roads near Lake Jessup, then the faster riders will break away after Lake Mary Boulevard (LMB) and the second group will continue at their casual 18mph pace. This is a great starter ride to get acquainted with the SEMINOLE Cyclists. Marshalls for the ride make sure that "No Rider Gets Left Behind."


Winter Springs Lake Mills Loop 7:30am
B Level, 34miles

The SEMINOLE Cyclists Lake Mills Saturday Ride starts from the Winter Springs Town Center in the parking lot opposite Barnie's Coffee and Tijuana Flats. If you drive in, park behind Barnie's so you can return after the ride, pack up your bike, and then join us at the tables outside. Our 34 mile route takes us down Tuskawilla Road, up Aloma, and over to Mitchell Hammock, Lockwood, 419 and the scenic roads around Lake Mills where we reach our SAG stop at about mile 20. Our return route takes us up old Lockwood and down shady Florida Ave in the scenic Black Hammock area. From there we head up 434 and return to the town center where we regroup at Barnie's for some java and ride recaps. Marshalls for the ride make sure that "No Rider Gets Left Behind." This ride is not designated for novices so be sure you can maintain the speed listed for the safety and enjoyment of all.


Sunday

Colonial Town Park BFast 8:00am

B Levels 20-30miles

The SEMINOLE Cyclists BFast Sunday Ride starts from the Colonial Town Park's parking lot near the theatre. Sleep in, YES, but be ready to roll at 8:00am sharp. The first part of the ride travels out towards Sanford’s Oregon Trail and Orange, but makes its way back to the shady roads of Markham Woods. The second part of the ride continues its relaxed 17-19mph pace back towards Heathrow via Markham Woods Rd with an option to go longer through the hilly Mandarin subdivision. Both routes make it safe and sound back at the Colonial Town Park parking lot. Stay afterwards for some java brew ride recaps. Marshalls for the ride make sure that "No Rider Gets Left Behind." This ride is not designated for novices.


Tuesday and Thursday
Colonial Town Park TNT 6:00pm
A,B+ Levels 20-25miles

Get those quads pumping for the beginning and/or ending of the week with the Tuesday/Thursday rollout from the Colonial Town Park's parking lot near the theatre 6pm sharp for a (A and a B+) level ride. This ride travels down International Parkway across 46 for up nice gradual incline on Orange back across 46. From there it will take you on a quick downhill on Lake Sylvan to Markham road turning around at Fox Spur and back up hill on Lake Sylvan. The ride comes to an end with a strong finish back down Intl parkway across 46a then continuing down the pkwy towards the end and turning around once again to return to the Colonial Town Park. This ride is not designated for novices.


Wednesday
Ladies Night 6:00pm
B Level 20miles

Ladies night in historic Sanford. This is a Ladies only ride - meeting at the municipal parking lot in Sanford - by the Monroe Harbor Marina. Enjoy the waterfront view of Lake Monroe as you start out, and then take in the beautiful sites through downtown Sanford. From there the ride heads toward and around Sanford Airport. This female peleton will work on paceline skills and safety.
There is a sweep rider that makes sure that 'No Rider Gets Left Behind.'
