I have always tried to recognize those who step up out of their comfort zone in our chosen hobby, sport, or obsession... lol. This guy started on a heavy old mountain bike. He rode to earn a merit badge and fell under the teasing from his fellow scouts because he was the slower one in the group. He never gave up and earned his merit badge being the first scout to complete the 50 mile trek. He has transformed into a good rider moving to a hybrid and then on Saturday I saw him on his new steed a "road bike" riding great holding his own with much more experienced riders. He has helped lower the average age of the SC which is needed because some are grandparents now...lol
